Terms of Use

Welcome to Japam. Japam is operated by Jump Rivals LLC ("Japam," "we," "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Jump Rivals LLC, and they exist for one reason: to keep this a calm, kind, devotional space for everyone. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

1. Who may use Japam

You must be at least 13 years old to use Japam. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use Japam with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials private and for everything that happens under your account.

2. Your content

Japam lets you share posts, photos, videos, comments, messages and custom mantras ("your content"). Your content remains yours. By sharing it on Japam, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute it within the service — that is what allows other devotees to see your posts. This license ends for a piece of content when you delete it, or entirely when you delete your account.

3. Community guidelines

Japam is a devotional community. When you share, you agree not to post content that is:

• Hateful, harassing, threatening or demeaning toward any person, community, faith or tradition;
• Obscene, sexually explicit, or graphically violent;
• Deliberately misleading, spam, or commercial solicitation unrelated to the community;
• Infringing on someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy;
• Illegal, or encouraging illegal activity.

Custom mantras submitted for the shared library are reviewed before they appear publicly. Devotional expression across all traditions is welcome; contempt for any of them is not.

4. Reporting and removal

Every post can be reported from inside the app. We review reports promptly and remove content that violates these terms. We may also remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously break these rules — including abusive, hateful or spam accounts — with or without prior notice where the behavior warrants it. You can also block any user at any time; blocked users cannot see your content or contact you.

If you believe content on Japam infringes your copyright or trademark, write to support@japam.app with a link to the content and a short description of your rights. We review such notices promptly and remove infringing content.

5. What Japam is — and is not

Japam is a tool for devotional practice and community. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and we make no claims about health benefits or spiritual outcomes of chanting, poojas or any other practice in the app. Astrological and devotional content is offered for cultural and spiritual interest only.

Temple information may be contributed by users and third parties; we work to keep it accurate but cannot guarantee it. Temples are independent of Japam: donation links open the temple's own donation channels, and we do not collect, hold or guarantee donations, nor are we responsible for how a temple uses them. Likewise, content shared by other devotees belongs to them — we do not endorse user content and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for it, though we review reports and act as described above.

6. Japam Premium and ads

Japam's core practice is free, supported by a small number of devotional ads in the social feed. Japam Premium is an optional, auto-renewing monthly subscription that removes those ads and unlocks extras such as video posts, unlimited Japam Poojas, your full chant history and a Premium profile badge.

• Billing — the purchase is made through your Apple App Store or Google Play account at the price shown before you confirm. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Cancelling — manage or cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; you keep Premium until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app, or your Japam account, does not cancel the subscription — cancel it with the store as well.
• Refunds — purchases are refunded under the store's own policies; refund requests go to Apple or Google, and we will gladly point you the right way.
• Lapsing — if your subscription ends you return to the free tier. Nothing is deleted: your poojas, chant history, score and posts remain yours.
• Prices — prices can vary by region and may change; the store notifies you before a new price applies to a renewal.

Your copy of the app also comes with the standard terms of the store it came from. Apple and Google are not parties to this agreement and have no responsibility for Japam or its content; to the extent Apple's terms require it, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this agreement and may enforce it against you.

7. The service

We work hard to keep Japam available and serene, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law: we disclaim all warranties, express or implied; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill or opportunities; and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us through Japam Premium in the past twelve months or the minimum amount required by law. These limits apply to Jump Rivals LLC and its officers, employees and agents alike. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including, where the law says so, liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

The same honesty applies to security. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, and our Privacy Policy describes them — but no online service can promise absolute security. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for unauthorized access to or disclosure of your information resulting from attacks, breaches of our service providers, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

8. Your responsibility to us

You are responsible for your content and your conduct on Japam. If a third party brings a claim against Jump Rivals LLC — or its officers, employees or agents — arising out of content you posted, your use of the service in breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or of someone else's rights, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from the resulting damages, losses and reasonable legal costs. We will notify you promptly of any such claim.

9. Changes to the service and these terms

Japam is growing. Features may change, be added or be retired. If we make material changes to these terms, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app; continuing to use Japam after a change means you accept it.

10. Ending your relationship with Japam

You may stop using Japam and delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deletion closes your account immediately and removes your profile and content from Japam; what we retain afterward, and how to request complete erasure, is described in our Privacy Policy. If you have a Japam Premium subscription, cancel it with Apple or Google as well — deleting your account does not stop the store's billing.

11. Governing law, and the small print

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA — where Jump Rivals LLC is organized — without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, unless the mandatory consumer-protection law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in this clause removes rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in full effect. If we do not enforce a provision, that is patience, not a waiver — we may enforce it later. These terms are the entire agreement between you and Jump Rivals LLC about Japam, and you may not transfer your rights under them without our consent.
