How can we help?
Write to us: support@japam.app
We usually reply within one to two days. 🙏
Is Japam free?
Yes. Chanting, poojas, the mantra library, the social feed, temples and your profile are all free, with no ads. If we ever introduce optional paid offerings (such as temple store items), your core practice will remain free.
Does chant counting work offline?
Yes. Your mala counter works without a connection — counts are kept on your device while you chant and synced to your account when you are back online, so your chant score is never lost mid-japam.
How do stars work?
Every single recitation of a mantra adds one to your chant score. When your lifetime score crosses 1,000 you earn your first star, at 100,000 your second, and at 1,000,000 your third. Stars appear beneath your profile, in gold.
What is a Japam Pooja?
A Japam Pooja is your personal schedule: a set of mantras, each with its own count (108 of one, 8 of another) and a time of day. When you start a pooja, the app moves you from mantra to mantra automatically as each count completes.
How do I change the app or mantra language?
Open Profile → Settings → Language. You can set the app language and the content (mantra) language separately — English, हिन्दी and తెలుగు are available today, and everything updates in one place.
How do I report a post or block someone?
Tap the … menu on any post to report it — our team reviews reports promptly and removes content that breaks the community guidelines. From any profile you can also block a user; they will no longer see your content or be able to contact you.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and personal data — profile, preferences, chanting history, posts, comments and messages — as described in our Privacy Policy. If you prefer, email us and we will do it for you.
What is Pooja Mode?
Pooja Mode (in Settings) keeps your screen awake and minimizes distraction while you are chanting, so your mala never dims mid-practice. iOS does not let apps switch on Do Not Disturb for you — for complete silence, enable an iOS Focus mode. Pooja Mode turns off automatically the moment you leave the mantra screen.
